Ukrainians at The Wimbledon Championships- 2003

K. BondarenkoJuly, 3. Unfortunately, Katerina Bondarenko lost her Third Round match against number 4 seed Slovakian Jarmila Gaidosova: 1-6 4-6.

Ukrainian Katerina Bondarenko (on the picture) advanced to the 3d Round of the Juniors Championships, by beating number 14 seed Casey Dellacqua of Australia in straight sets: 6-4 6-3. Her next opponent will be Number 4 seed Slovakian Jarmila Gajdosova . Another Ukrainian - Viktoria Kutuzova lost to Russian Alla Kudryavtseva in the Second Round: 7-6 6-7 3-6.

Ukrainian Juniors Viktoria Kutuzova(13) and Katerina Bondarenko advanced to the Second Round of the Juniors Championships at Wimbledon. Kutuzova defeated German Angelique Kerber: 7-5 6-7(6) 6-2 and Katerina Bondarenko has won her match against American Krysty Marcio : 6-2 6-1.
In the Second Round of The Wimbledon Championships 1999 Wimbledon Doubles finalist Elena Tatarkova together with Australian Trudi Musgrave lost to Bulgaria - South - African Pair Maleeva/Huber seeded number 10: 3-6 6-7(7)

. The Wimbledon Championships. London. Ukrainian Tatiana Perebiynis lost her Second Round match to number 28 seed American Laura Granville. Two weeks ago they played against each other at the DFS Classic in Birmingham. Perebiynis won in 3 sets: 6-0 2-6 6-4. On Monday Tatiana Perebiynis defeated Barbora Strycova (CZE) in the First Round of The Wimbledon: 6-4 5-7 11-9. Later that evening another Ukrainian - Julia Vakulenko lost to French open champion Justine Henin - Hardenne of Belgium: 5-7 1-6. Ukrainian played well in the first set, losing her serve only in the last 12th game of the set, but then it was Justine Henin - Hardenne all the way.
