August, 21. Tatiana Perebiynis lost her Second Round match at the WTA Pilot Pen Tennis in New Haven. She was defeated by World's number 13 Ai Sugiyama: 4-6 6-7(5). Today Ukrainian with her partner Silvia Talaja of Croatia will play her Quarterfinal match against Number 1 Seeds Paola Suarez (ARG)/ Virginia Ruano Pascual (ESP)

August, 19. Ukrainian tennis player Tatiana Perebiynis storms to the Second Round at the WTA Pilot Pen Tennis, in New Haven, USA (Tier II, Prize money: 625 000$). Tatiana Perebiynis took the place of Alexandra Stevenson, who withdrew with a right shoulder strain shortly before the match, and beat wild-card entry Ashley Harkleroad, 6-1, 7-6 (3). Harkleroad (number 46 in the World) , from the United States, rallied from a 5-1 deficit in the second set to force a tiebreaker, but was unable to withstand two aces by Perebiynis, at 108 mph and 99 mph. Tatiana's next opponent will be World's number 13 Ai Sugiyama of Japan. Perebiynis went to the second Round of Doubles competition as well.
